This is the start of the adoption process. Everyone who adopts from us submits this form. Please be assured that we do NOT share any one's personal information unless they give us permission. Your email address is NEVER given to advertisers. All rats must be adopted out in same sex pairs unless you already have a female, then you may adopt a single female. If you have adult males at home you may adopt no less than 2 male babies. Once a male is an adult (12 weeks) you rarely can add another adult male to the cage without major fighting. One male baby added to a male cage can get picked on, yet if you add 2 male babies no one gets singled out. This combination seems to work best for all the rats going into the same cage. So this is why we insist on this policy.
These are the main points of our PET ONLY/Non-breeding contract. 1. You must NOT breed for any reason. If rat/s are ever bred, accidental or not, the offspring must be returned to us. 2. If a breeding happens a second time, ALL rats that were adopted from us and their offspring must be returned to Hidden Haven Rattery. 3. If for any unforeseen reason you are not able to keep any rat's adopted from us, they must be returned to Hidden Haven Rattery. No refund. 4. They must NOT be turned loose, sold or given away to any individual, breeder, pet shop or animal shelter. These are the main points of our contract. These may seem like tough restrictions but I myself am under-contract to other breeders on how I am allowed to breed and place their lines - up to 6 generations. So you can see that my contract must be strict. My integrity in the rat breeding world depends on it. So please think about these points carefully.
